Eesti Pakendiringlus is accredited as official packaging recycling organisation in Estonia. We collect, sort and recycle all packages.
Eesti Pakendiringlus is a packaging recycling organisation with the following goals:
- create and maintain a nationwide network for the collection of packaging,
- organise the recycling of packaging waste in an extent which ensures fulfilling the obligations delegated to Eesti Pakendiringlus,
- inform consumers of the possibilities of handing over packaging.
Collection of packaging – Eesti Pakendiringlus collects packaging in all local municipalities. We have installed over 2,000 containers for collecting packaging in Estonia.
Sorting of packaging – All packaging must be sorted after collection and prior to recycling. The more the packaging is sorted on site, the less need there is for sorting it later. We sort packaging in cooperation with all sorting stations operating in Estonia.
Recycling of packaging – We aim to find the best offers for recycling packaging and always prefer local recyclers in the case of equal offers.
Collection, sorting, and recycling of packaging is funded from the tariffs paid to Eesti Pakendiringlus by the local packaging undertakings.
The Board Member of OÜ Eesti Pakendiringlus is Alder Harkmann.
Eesti Pakendiringlus is accredited by the minister of the environment; the accreditation document is available here.
