Pursuant to the Packaging Act, the consumer may dispose of packaging and the waste generated thereof free of charge. There are packaging containers installed in all municipalities for the collection of packaging waste.

In general, containers are used for the collection of packaging waste – the blue container is for paper packaging and the yellow container for plastic, metal, and glass packaging. We are gradually separating the collection of glass from metal and plastic in more and more places and in such places, the glass container is green and the container for plastic and metal is yellow.
Consumers must keep in mind that packaging waste is collected for the purposes of recycling. Only clean packaging can be recycled. It is not necessary to wash packaging with soap and a brush, but rinsing should be possible in the case of many types of packaging.

In addition to collection into containers, collection of packaging waste by using plastic bags is in use in many areas.
